BY BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE HEALTH INDUSTRY AND FITNESS INDUSTRY, MILAN ATHLETIC CLUB IS SET OUT TO BE THE FIRST HOLISTIC WELLNESS CENTER FOR WOMEN. MILAN ATHLETIC CLUB IS A STUDIO GYM THAT OFFERS A VARIETY OF GROUP FITNESS CLASSES TAUGHT BY CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT HELPING WOMEN REACH THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL.

JANESSA MILAN FOUNDED MILAN ATHLETIC CLUB IN 2021 WITH THE SOLE MISSION OF EMPOWERING WOMEN TO LIVE THEIR HEALTHIEST AND HAPPIEST LIFE WHILE BEING A PART OF AN UPLIFTING COMMUNITY OF WOMEN. THE AVERAGE GYM IS A SPACE THAT IS DOMINATED BY MASCULINE ENERGY, LEAVING MANY WOMEN TOO ANXIOUS TO START WEIGHT LIFTING. JANESSA’S PASSION BEGAN IN THE WEIGHT ROOM AND SHE KNEW HOW POWERFUL BEING STRONG CAN FEEL. SHE SAW THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A SAFE AND WELCOMING SPACE FOR WOMEN OF ALL DIFFERENT AGES AND BACKGROUNDS TO LEARN HOW TO LIVE A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE LIFE STLYLE WHILE BUILDING A COMMUNITY. JANESSA OPENED OUR FIRST PHYSICAL LOCATION IN SCOTTSDALE ON 2/22/22. ITS BEEN MAGIC EVER SINCE.

MEET YOUR COACHES

Founder & CEO  Personal Trainer & Health Coach  Janessa graduated in 2018 from Arizona State University with a bachelor's in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Spanish Linguistics. Janessa is certified in Personal Training & Nutrition C
Jen was one of Janessa's first clients but has been weight training since she was 12. She became certified in Personal Training in 2012. She has spent many years as a high school math teacher, but is thrilled to be a part of the Club! She runs 4 - 6

    Jen has been passionate about health and fitness as long as she can remember. She was involved in every sport available to her as a child and began weight training at the age of 12. Now over 25 years later, weight training continues to be at the forefront of her health regime. Jen has also competed in two bikini bodybuilding competitions. Before Jen turned her passion into a career, she spent 14 years as a high school math teacher, 10 of which she was also coaching cheerleading.

    She is a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Jen loves educating the members on technique and form to maximize safety and results as well as pushing and supporting women in doing things they never thought they could do!

    When Jen isn’t at the gym, you can find her spending time with her dogs, enjoying an outdoor adventure, or reading.

  • Introducing Gabby, your vibrant and enthusiastic trainer at Milan Athletic Club! At 24, Gabby brings a contagious charisma and bubbly energy to every session. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures personalized workouts tailored to your goals.

    With a passion for health and fitness, Gabby graduated from Arizona State University in 2021 with a B.S. degree in Integrative Health, blending holistic and western health modalities seamlessly. She continues to expand her education by completing the Integrative Health Practitioner program making her a holistic health coach that offers lab testing and personalized protocols tailored to data.

    Her expertise extend to women's hormone health, nutrition, and supplementation, making her a valuable resource for holistic wellness. Join Gabby for a fun-loving approach to fitness that prioritizes your well-being inside and out!

    She is the sole founder and owner of Milan Athletic Club, where she is the lead Personal trainer & Health coach.

    When Janessa isn’t at the gym, she is probably starting a new art project, hanging out with her dog or meditating.

our training philosophy

  • Our small group fitness classes are programed by all of our coaches monthly. Each workout is designed by women for women to prioritize holistic health, strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. They are tailored to address the unique physiological and anatomical needs of women, including hormonal fluctuations, pelvic floor health, and body composition goals. All of our workouts are backed by science to adhere to the women’s body.

    In our classes you can expect a 10 min of proper warm up, 40 minutes focusing on different compound movements and increasing strength and finished with 10 minutes of a burnout to solidify the workout.

    Our main focus is going to be ensuring that there is proper form on every single movement. Once form is solidified, we will begin our progressive overload process to build lean muscle mass increasing the metabolism and promoting fat loss.

    All coaches are well versed to provide variations and modifications suitable for different fitness levels in every class.

  • Community is in our mission statement, so to honor that while maintaining the benefits of personal training, we have taken the benefits of personal training and applied them to a small group setting.

    All member only classes are limited to 6 members at a time to ensure a high level of quality and personalization. We crate new programming each month to ensure a diversity of movements and goals are being met. The small group setting fosters a sense of community, support, accountability and friendship.

    Your coach will know your name and stay updated on your life, goals and injuries to ensure top tier quality while coaching. Coaches will provide flexibility and adaptability.

  • Welcome to our comprehensive 6-week Nutrition Course designed to empower you with knowledge, create healthy habits, and provide personalized guidance for achieving your goals. 

    Our program will be divided into two distinct phases, with the first four weeks dedicated to in-depth education via zoom, followed by two weeks of one on one coaching.
